Phu Quoc Ticket Refund and Cancellation Rules
Editorial team · Checked 5 November 2026

In short
One published policy allows refund or exchange within 5 days from the chosen start date of use, only if the ticket is valid and unused. Cancelled value becomes a voucher, not cash. Other channels differ.
Refund rules depend on where you bought the ticket. One published policy allows refund or exchange within 5 days from the chosen start date of use, only if the ticket is still valid and no service has been used, and it pays cancelled value as a voucher, not cash. Other channels differ, so read yours before paying.
What is the refund policy by channel?
Each channel sets its own policy, so there is no single rule for Phu Quoc. The official site, a travel platform and a local agent can all differ. We list the rules from one published policy below and tell you what to check on the others.
Under that published policy:
- Refund or exchange is allowed within 5 days from the chosen start date of use.
- A ticket must still be valid for use to qualify.
- A ticket qualifies for refund only if none of its services have been used.
- Each ticket can be exchanged only once.
- Cancelled ticket value becomes a voucher, not cash.
- A refund voucher can be used only once.
- Expired tickets are not covered.
- Orders received as promotional gifts are not eligible.
Read these rules as a sample of how strict a policy can be, not as a promise from every seller. The key points are the short window, the voucher instead of cash, the single exchange and the exclusion of gifts. Many travellers only find these limits after something goes wrong, so reading them first is the cheapest protection you have.
Before you pay anywhere else, look for the same items on the booking page. For a channel comparison, read official site versus Klook.
Are there deposit rules when booking online?
We have no confirmed deposit rule to quote. Some sellers take full payment at booking and some may take a part, and the terms are written on the booking page.
Ask these questions before you pay:
- Is the full price charged now, or only part of it?
- Is the deposit refundable, and in what form: money or voucher?
- Until when can I cancel?
- What happens to the deposit if I change the date?
Deposit rules also affect your risk. If you pay in full now and the rules allow only a voucher, your money is tied to that seller. If you pay only a part, check what happens to the rest on the day. A clear answer in writing protects both sides.
If a seller will not answer in writing, treat that as a warning. For card issues such as a declined payment or verification, see our guide to paying for Phu Quoc tickets with a foreign credit card.
What are the date-change deadlines and fees?
Under one published policy, an exchange must be made within 5 days from the chosen start date of use, and each ticket can be exchanged only once. If the new ticket costs more, you pay the difference. A cheaper new ticket is not refunded.
What we do not have is a confirmed change fee. A fee, if any, depends on the seller. So ask:
- Is there a fee for changing the date?
- Is the difference in price charged on the spot?
- Can I change a combo, or only a single ticket?
- What counts as the chosen start date of use?
A change is also easier when you act early. Decide on the new date before the deadline, check that the new ticket is the same product, and ask the seller to confirm the new booking in writing. If the new product is cheaper, remember that the difference is not refunded under that policy, so choose carefully.
Keep in mind that expired tickets are not covered by refund or exchange under that policy, so do not wait until the last day.
What happens in a typhoon or bad weather closure?
We have no confirmed rule we can quote for typhoon or bad weather closures. Treat every channel as different until the seller tells you in writing.
What to do:
- Contact the seller or platform as soon as a closure is announced.
- Keep your booking reference, receipt and the closure notice.
- Ask whether the ticket can be moved, refunded or turned into a voucher.
- Ask for the answer in writing.
- Message us on WhatsApp if you booked through us, and we will ask local partners.
Ask in particular about outdoor attractions and about shows, because a closure can affect one part of a combo and not another. Ask whether the unused part can be refunded or moved.
Do not assume the weather automatically cancels your booking. Until the seller confirms, the ticket may still be treated as unused.
How do I request a refund step by step?
Work in this order, and keep copies of everything.
- Read the refund policy on your booking page.
- Check the date, because a deadline may apply from the chosen start date of use.
- Confirm the ticket is valid and no service has been used.
- Gather your confirmation email, booking reference and payment receipt.
- Write to the seller or platform: name, booking reference, ticket type, date and what you want.
- Ask whether you will get money or a voucher.
- Keep every reply, and set a reminder to follow up.
If the seller does not help and you paid by card, contact your card issuer with your records. If the ticket was rejected at the gate, our guide to an invalid ticket from a reseller explains what to do on the spot and how to document it.
What to do next
Read the refund policy before you pay, save it with your booking and set a calendar reminder for the deadline. For payment questions, read the foreign card guide. Then message us on WhatsApp if you want help with a booking.
